Many thanks to our lovely enthusiastic audience this weekend at Peak Village, when the Christmas lights were switched on in a Festive Spectacular of gifts, food and live entertainment.
We hope you enjoyed browsing for luxury homeware, furniture, clothing, cards, gifts... lunch, tea and cakes, a hot chocolate or perhaps a glass of mulled wine... the live entertainment orchestrated by Peak FM's Craig Bailey ... and watching our pupils bringing their own sparkle to the season!

Upon graduation Daisy moved to the Czech Republic to join the National Moravian-Silesian Ballet where she performed The Doll in The Nutcracker, Cygnets and Pas-de-Trois in Swan Lake, Rabbit in Snow White and was part of the Corps de Ballet in The Sleeping Beauty and The Lady of the Camellias.
Daisy made her West End debut in The Phantom of the Opera where she played Meg Giry. She is currently performing abroad playing Victoria (The White Cat) in Cats the musical.
Congratulations to our fabulous contemporary group on their performance on the huge stage at the 1st Can You Dance? Superconvention at Liverpool's Echo Arena on 30 September.
Our dancers performed a contemporary dance to Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine, which can be seen in the video available in this link. The photos above show the scene backstage, and some of the other highlights of the show.
Kimberly will run two master classes at the school on Wednesday 25 July, for pupils aged 8-12 (from 12:30 - 14:00) and those aged 13 and above (14:15-15:45)), focussing on Commercial Dance skills. The classes are suitable for both boys and girls - you don’t really need to bring heels! Heels are optional and there will be lots for everyone to learn.
Claire says ‘It is a huge honour to have one of Kimberly’s dance workshops coming to Matlock! She is an amazing dancer – as well as a lovely person - and it is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a professional who has made it right to the top in the world of Commercial Dance.’

Anyone wishing to take the NATD Trophy examination must be able to attend on all four days, but single day tickets are also available if you can’t make the full course.
Places are limited at all of the Summer classes, so please call in to the school as soon as possible to reserve your place.
As a member of the NATD North Midland Theatrical Committee, Claire is pleased to be able to invite our dancers to join a Day of Dance in Aston on Trent, near Derby on Sunday 29 April. Claire says 'I thoroughly recommend it - this day is just £10 and was super last year!'

Providing a therapeutic and creative connection to dance and music, the classes are designed to stimulate cognitive skills - improving health and self-esteem, reducing isolation, and bringing joy and happiness.
